Since its launch in 2013, the HCIP grant program has been EHC’s most direct way of equipping heritage practitioners with the tools they need to tell Edmonton’s stories. Through this city’s many evolutions, planned and otherwise, it is the duty of this program to evolve along with it.
The Heritage Community Investment Program (HCIP) invests funds, provided by the City of Edmonton, into the stabilization, increased professionalism, and innovation of heritage in Edmonton, for Edmontonians. The HCIP includes four distinct grant streams: Operational, Project, Project Accelerator, and Travel Grants to individuals and heritage organizations working to connect citizens to the stories of our city.
In response to community feedback and evolutions within the heritage sector, EHC has revisited its grant program to better address the needs of the community.
The Heritage Community Investment Program (HCIP) provides Operational Grants to museums, archives, and other heritage organizations to research, preserve, interpret, and advocate for Edmonton’s heritage. Congratulations to the following organizations who received Operational funding in 2020!
