Edmonton’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies are invited to celebrate the launch of Queer History Month at a kick-off party on October 5th, 2024.
Hosted by the Edmonton Heritage Council and City of Edmonton Archives, this family-friendly event promises an afternoon of inclusive programming, historical insights, and community connection.

Interactive programming by Edmonton Public Library and Royal Alberta Museum ยท Historical displays from Rainbow Story Hub and the Edmonton Queer History Project
- Meet with archivists and curators to discuss how you can best preserve your own Queer History related items

This kick-off party marks the beginning of a month-long series of 2SLGBTQIA+ history events across Edmonton. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about all the events happening over Queer History Month, all of which will be listed on Explore Edmonton’s event calendar.
