James Haney is a professional planner with the City of Edmonton’s City Planning Branch. His current work includes redevelopment policy, public engagement, and heritage conservation planning. Originally from Southern Alberta, James previously worked in the museum sector as an interpreter, researcher, curator, and executive director.
Haney is a co-presenter (with Susie Houle) of River Crossing Indigenous Engagement: Building Meaningful Relationships Through Heritage Planning, part of the symposium Reconciliation and Resurgence: Heritage Practice in Post-TRC Edmonton on March 3 and 4. Registration is also open for the pre-symposium workshop Bridging the Gap: Guiding Principles on Your Path to Reconciliation on March 2.
