John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights: Paint the Rails Augmented Reality Mural Project (2020 Project Accelerator Grant Amount: $10,000)

The Paint the Rails Augmented Reality Mural Project incorporates augmented reality (AR) animation for a series of public murals on permanent display at five Edmonton Transit Centres. AR can take the murals to another level by creating custom animations and effects that enhance messaging. Paint the Rails is a multi-mural initiative shared in partnership with the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights, Edmonton Transit Service, and diverse local communities, bringing local history to life through storytelling, community bridge-building, and visual artwork.
