Africa Centre, Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, Islamic Family & Social Services Association, The Mosquers and Mennonite Central Committee (MCC Thrift) are jointly seeking a community-oriented, collaborative artist (or artists) to lead the development of a series of interconnected high-profile murals that bring together Indigenous & settler communities across Edmonton. This project aims to connect artists, equity-deserving communities, and emerging artists together to commemorate reconciliation through participatory art-making based on the principles of principles of wahkohtowin (Cree: kinship) & mawadaa [الْمَوَدَّة] (Arabic: communal affection).
