Call for Protégés

The Edmonton Heritage Council (EHC) is pleased to share the launch of a Pilot Heritage Sector Mentorship Project.

In partnership with interVivos and alignment with the Connections and Exchanges (C&E) Plan to rejuvenate the Edmonton heritage sector, the EHC is running a pilot mentorship program. The program will have six mentors and six protégés. The mentors were selected based on their work and experience in the heritage sector. Full biographies of the selected mentors will be available online in the coming weeks.

This pilot fulfills an aim and action of C&E:

AIM: Arts and Heritage Practitioners are Economically Resilient

Action: Build mechanisms with an emphasis on mentorships

The ultimate goal of the pilot is to build the capacity of heritage practitioners in Edmonton Heritage Sector.

EHC will implement a four-month mentorship program to develop the capacity of emerging heritage professionals. This program will enable both mentors and protégés to build their professional networks, share best practices, and brainstorm solutions through a three-part dialogue series to address challenges in the heritage sector.
