EHC Grants Portal How-To

Please view our tutorial video on using our portal prior to your first application. This video was created for the HCIP (Heritage Community Investment Program) Operational grant, so some details may not be relevant if you are applying to a different grant stream.

We strongly advise all applicants to prepare your answers on the worksheets provided on the relevant grant stream’s webpage prior to submission, as the portal is still in testing stages.

The following instructions apply to those who have not yet accessed the portal to prepare a grant application. If you or your organization have previously logged into the portal, please use your existing login information.

  1. When you enter the system, please use the forgot password function with the e-mail address of the main contact responsible for the application. This will ensure that, if the organization has any membership details associated with this contact, they will be linked to your application.
  2. If you receive a “User not found” message, please proceed to creating an account.
  3. Once you have created an account/established a password for an existing account, please log in. When you log in, you will see a largely blank screen titled Dashboard. In the top left-hand corner, there is an icon that looks like a stack of lines, which will open a menu. Select “Applications,” then “New Application.”
  4. Once you are in New Application, there will be a pop-up box that asks you to select a Campaign. Please select the grant stream to which you intend to apply.

Please note: the grants portal will close after the deadline and re-open in time for submission to the next grant run. If the grant stream to which you intend to apply is not yet available on the Campaign screen, please refer to the grant stream’s worksheet to begin planning your application.

  1. When you select a Campaign, it will take you to a screen where you can see the status of the Campaign. In the bottom right-hand part of the table, there is a start button. Please click the button to begin the application.
  2. Now you can fill out your application! The form should auto- save, but please ensure that you save your completed worksheet in case any issues arise.  There is a button at the bottom of the page to “Save Draft.” When you are ready to submit, please click the “Complete Form” button.

*Please note: you are welcome to share your login information with operational or project partners to facilitate submission of the grant application, but please ensure that only one person is working on the application within the portal at any given time. Changes that are made while multiple logins are in progress will not be saved.
