Rob Houle

Rob maintains close relationships in Treaty No. 6 and 8. He has also married into the Stoney and Blackfoot Nations in Treaty No. 7. He continues to write and research the aspects of Treaty, relationships, and obligations of all parties. He enjoys archival research and the information contained in centuries old documents. Heritage has a special place in the work Rob does with emphasis paid to the contributions of Indigenous people to Edmonton and area. He has been actively engaged and outspoken regarding Indigenous Rights, Treaty, and the process of Indigenous naming.

Having worked in multiple levels of government, as well as Indigenous organizations, Rob knows the challenges and rewards of building meaningful relationships. When not working, writing, or researching he enjoys spending time with his 3 children and watching the latest movies or series.
