2023 Operational Grant Recipients

EHC Congratulates the Recipients of 2023 Operational Grants!

Heritage Community Investment Program (HCIP) Operational Grants provide limited operating assistance—up to 25 percent of an applicant’s eligible expenses—to museums, archives, and other heritage organizations to increase their capacity to research, preserve, interpret, and advocate for Edmonton’s heritage. We are pleased to announce our support through this grant for the organizations listed below. The deadline for 2024 Operational Grant funding is October 6, 2023; sign up, log in, and find what you need to apply via our Grants Portal.

Alberta Aviation Museum: $168,710  

Alberta Genealogical Society: $26,964  

Alberta Labour History Institute: $9,399  

Alberta Pioneer Railway Association: $22,995  

Edmonton Chinatown Chinese Library: $23,720  

Edmonton and District Historical Society: $8,094.59  

Edmonton Radial Railway Society: $16,074  

Société Généalogique du Nord Ouest: $10,765.75  

Société historique francophone de l’Alberta: $38,426

March 15: Project Accelerator, Research & Planning, and Community Impact Project (HCIP) application Spring deadline
April 21: FIRE application Spring deadline
September 5: FIRE application Fall deadline
September 15: Project Accelerator and Research & Planning (HCIP) Fall deadline
October 6: Operational (HCIP) deadline
Career Development and Change Capital (HCIP) applications will be accepted throughout 2023 via rolling intake

The Heritage Community Investment Program invests funds—provided by the City of Edmonton—into the stabilization, increased professionalism and innovation of heritage in Edmonton, for Edmontonians.
