“From Idea to Application”: An EHC Speed-Networking Event!

Do you have an idea for a heritage project, but need some help getting it off the ground? Are you involved in heritage work in Edmonton and have some tips and tricks to share? If you answered ‘yes’ to either of those questions, then you are going to want to join us on May 9 for the Edmonton Heritage Council’s first speed-networking event!

We’ve all heard about the “elevator pitch” – that essential business tool for selling your skills and your work. A good elevator pitch should last no longer than 60 seconds – the length of a short elevator ride – and must be memorable and succinct if your idea or skillset is going to spark the interest of whoever you find yourself talking to.

In our recent Membership Survey, we heard loud and clear that you want more opportunities to connect with other heritage practitioners in the Edmonton area. At our upcoming event, you can put your elevator pitch to the test in a speed-networking format that will connect those of you with great ideas to the people who can help you turn them into a reality. Throughout the evening, you will have the opportunity to meet potential partners, solicit feedback from experienced heritage professionals, and market your own skills. And you’ll learn a lot about the exciting heritage work happening right here in our city.

Our goal for the evening to help you make connections and take your next project from idea to application!

Oh, and did we mention that there would be free pizza?
