Deadline: Closed
Living Local grants are designed to foster connections between community leagues, artists, heritage practitioners and the communities in which they live. Grants cover 2/3rds of the total cost of a project that does three things: result in the creation of a festival, artwork or heritage outcome that is accessible to a wide range of neighbourhood residents; uncovers and expresses a unique cultural aspect of the place it occurs and; connects artists and heritage practitioners within and with their communities.
Who is eligible?
Partnerships between a community league, an artist that is resident in or has significant connections to that community, and a heritage practitioner that is resident in or has significant connections to that community, are eligible. None of the applicants can have outstanding final reports, or unused previous grant funding.
How much funding is available?
We have developed two tiers of funding in the Living Local grant stream. Please ensure that if you are applying within the second tier of the Living Local grant that the added expense is well justified and you clearly communicate the addition return on investment.
Tier 1: funding cap is a maximum of 2/3 of project expenses up to a maximum grant amount of $20,000.
Tier 2: funding cap is a maximum of 2/3 of project expenses up to a maximum grant amount of $30,000.
